Sydney CyberCafe Buff Launch & Levelution Field Report

Jul 02, 2008 in Events/Contests/Updates, Featured Articles

Hello,

This will be my last field report for CyberCafe Buff Launch and Levelution Competition. I would like to congratulate to all those who signed up during the events. Welcome to Granado Espada! Feel free to add us in your Friend List for some in-game help (you can find us here).

Captured New Players On-Briefing1

Some of you asked me why I play the game? I believe you may not get it at the first time when I said Granado Espada is a must play game. But when you read this blog by now, you will understand better. Just like I told you even if you are not a RPG players, never play an online game before, or millions other reasons, at the end you’ll love GE. Because there is no other online game (and dont forget it’s absolutely FREE game too) can give you such a flexibility and so many great functionality - Multiple Character Control - Recruitable Non-Players Characters - extreme Artificial Intelligence. :)

This last event gave me all excitements feelings for all the processes. The main reason for that is because I can try V2.6 Sneak Preview. Let’s check the program list in Sydney first. ^^

Sydney Program List

Program list 28-29 June 2008

About V2.6 The Requiem Sneak Preview

In Sydney, we had the chance to add in the V2.6 Sneak Preview in our Program List. I was so excited because I can try it myself (even though I am not familiar with all terms in the high level accounts), but for sure Bai Hu has stolen my heart. When I tried to complete his quest, I had a chance to view the sparring between him and Gracielo (OMG, Bai Hu will be my favourite characters too besides Gracielo) ^^ One of his skill is too amazing (his last finishing blow can reaches up to 100,000 hit rate). I am not kidding. I am very sure about the hit rate unless it’s time for me to get a new pair of glasses. >.< Can’t wait to level up my main characters in Vivaldi and get into the new map and quests. I have to hurry since it will be released in next month. Btw, good news for you who loves to raid. In these new maps, I believe you can do more raiding because these monsters are very tough (or maybe I’m still not use with the high level characters yet since my current highest characters are only level 70) T T

Can't get off from the test server

Besides browsing around in the new map and try to hit some monsters, it is really exciting to know that we’re going to have +9 Imperverium. After V2.6 released, I believe soon there will be more shining weapons roaming around in the city.
Btw, [CM]Veya compiled a list of new stances in her blog. Click here to view it.

About the Competition

Snapshot during the competition

The competition in Sydney is more strict and harder. The generic rules still apply but more restrictions have been added to ensure everybody have fair start. It is like the one in Brisbane, no Scout is allowed. In addition of that, they are not allowed to use any other materials besides their new characters in a new server. Despite to all of those additional restrictions, we have many “just sign up” contestant on the day. It was very challenging to teach them very briefly but yet most of them manage to score very well. Let’s see the winner list:

Winners of Levelution

1st winner

Winner 1; Using a combination of Fighter + Duo Elementalist, he secured his 1st prize with all characters level 15. This GE supporter came to the all days and volunteered in guiding the new players. He’s the master in the game. You’re a champ bro.

2nd Winner

Winner 2: This young lad is GE 2nd day player and he’s already mastered the basic of the game. He came back on 2nd day to join this contest and he is proving himself as the next generation of GE expert. His winning characters are at level 13,13,14. Well done!

3rd winner

Winner 3: Big applause to this first timer. He just got briefed and played for less than half an hour then joined this contest. Well, I think he has natural talent in playing RPG game and grasped all other thing while competing with other players. He secured his 3rd place not very far behind from the 2nd winner. All his character are level 13. PS. He even went back to city and do all the leg work between maps (he didn’t know he can use his wrap scroll to go back that place). ><

Actually we almost have another girl winner. Her leveling result is very close to 3rd winner, The difference is only on the experience percentage. That’s ok girl. There’s always another chance. ^^ Anyway, the most important is all of them are having fun and all of them bring back complimentary gift. This time I manage to get them to take group picture with the goodies bag.

Final words for you, Sydney event’s participants, thank you for your participation and I hope to see you again soon in-game. We will try our best to give you better event in the future. PCPowerPlay Magazine Review

May 29, 2008 in Featured Articles

Hi players,

I just finished reading my latest edition of PCPowerPlay (July - #153). I always love to read games magazine (I hope I can do that more often) T.T Works, researches, etc… Keep me away from it…. Anyway, I still can remember the times when I had to fight with my brother for who can read first. LOL… Well… obviously I was much tinier and weaker… so I played safe… I always try to get the mag first and hide it somewhere. LOL…

Btw, anybody realise that most games magazines always one month ahead in publishing? Yeah… I always amazed to realize that they can prepare so many topics in advance… GE-Styled Salutation (Wish I have a collection of screenshoots - I want to put it here now)! Well, what interested me the most is they have a review about us, Granado Espada. Quickly I can spot some editiorial errors here and there… It is said that the publisher is K2 Network, which is totally wrong as K2 network is only for the US side. Well…. errors happen all the time. Realising they make some mistakes, quickly we let Hrin know about it. This is her comment: “Please let them know when they want to write another review. I will accompany them and shows them the best parts and heaps stuff that you can get in GE.” ^^ Yup… how passionate is our lovely Regional Manager.

Guess what else can you spotted from the review and you think it’s not correct or disagree, discuss it here!

 Cheers!

Levelution of Granado Espada

May 23, 2008 in Events/Contests/Updates, Featured Articles

Simply say this is a competition where the player with highest level WINS!

But hold on, this is not as simple as that because there are tricks and strategies that you have to know to do well in this. I let you do your homework. You can discuss it here.

This is a very first-of-a-kind competition that is aimed at encouraging and fostering pro-social behavior among online gamers. You will be tested on your ability to work together and to increase your characters’ levels in the fastest, most efficient way while displaying good sportsmanship within a specified time. This meant that you have to cooperate, interact and work well as a squad, under intense online game conditions. Isn’t it great to know that you can help each other even though they are competitors. This is a WIN-WIN situation to receive bonus points while giving us something more than we expected. That is for you to practice pro-social qualities which it will be needed for the rest of our life. ^^ I bet you will never see a competition where you guys are supporting each other by shouting out common encouraging words from you or other contestant like “come on, let’s go, go, go!”, “no prob, get up and go!”, “good job!” etc.

Competition Mechanics

1. There will be two sessions “Preliminary” round (xx groups) and Final round (xx players from preliminary round). This will depends on the total of contestant on that day. So it may be 1 day for runner up and next day for final or it can be that we finish everything on first day.
